No. 220 Teton Autumn
I had gone down to Grand Teton National Park to photograph the majestic peaks against the
brilliant fall colors. However, when I arrived at the Park, I found that most of the color had
already disappeared. I discovered a bit of color surrounding a small beaver pond that I had
used in the past. The light was poor and the likelihood of getting a decent photo seemed slim.
The half dozen or so other photographers that were there seemed to think the same for they
were all holding on to their cameras "talking shop". Suddenly, I saw the possibility of a
shot and set up my camera. I went back group of photographers and waited. A few
minutes later, the "Grand" peered through a hole in the clouds and the sun broke through
the eastern sky. I stepped up to my tripod mounted camera and simply pushed the
shutter release. In a few seconds, "the shot" was gone and I packed up and drove home.
