No. 218 Saw Whet Young
A friend of mine lives on about 140 acres in western Montana where she takes care care of a lot
of animals both wild and domestic. One day, while talking to her on the telephone, she mentioned
that she had a pair of Saw Whet owls nesting in a flicker box in one of her Ponderosa pines. I told her
to give me a call when the young fledged. She did and I was soon at her place photographing
the five little ones both together and individually.
