No. 162 Rectory Cottage

I found this quaint old house in the village of Selworthy in southwestern England. When I went up to the door, I could see that the inhabitants were eating their supper, but just had to disturb them. I asked permission to photograph the house, which was kindly granted. After spending about an hour shooting several rolls of film, the owner came out and gave me a little history of the house and the town. The house, he said, was about 500 years old. After a few minutes conversation, he kindly invited me in for a cup of coffee, which I had to refuse. There was still an hour of light left to photograph in!
