No. 144 Northern Lights

I had been up to Churchill, Manitoba in northern Canada a few times before to photograph the Polar Bear, but I had never seen the Northern Lights up there because it is usually cloudy. In 1997, however, I had 4 clear nights out of 13 that I was there. The lights put on an amazing display before my lens. I had to photograph from the safety of my vehicle, however, because it was pitch black out and there were nearly a hundred bears in the area!
