The water surrounding little Paulette Island at the tip of the Antarctic Peninsula was filled with
icebergs of all shapes, sizes and colors. On a few of them, resident Adelie Penguins perched, resting
between feeding expeditions. Here, a small group of Adelie's returns to the sea from a particularly
large blue and white berg. A similar photo taken at the same time won the Wild Bird Magazine
Photo Contest's international category in 1999.
