No. 104 Mother's Protective Arms

I woke one mid-May morning and opened the curtains on the bedroom window to find half-dollar size snowflakes falling out of the sky. Without hesitation, I donned some warm clothes, forgot about breakfast and grabbed my camera gear. The first place I headed was the local city park just a few blocks away. There I found this Canada Goose and her family. While there were other geese nesting there, this was the only one with goslings. She was keeping them (four) under her wings to protect them from the snow and cold. After 4 hours of filming the family, the snow and I called it quits and I returned home, wet but happy.
