No. 166 A Cool Perch

This is probably my favorite photo taken during a 26 day excursion to Antarctica. While I saw and photographed literally millions of birds on the trip, most were on muddy, guano covered nesting sites. One day, near little Paulet Island, we found dozens of tiny to fairly large icebergs floating in the bay. We spent several hours one afternoon cruising from one to the other photographing the bergs, with and without penguins.
