One of the great fascinations about photographing Polar Bears near Churchill, Manitoba is how

close you can get to the bears, or vice versa. Here, an inquisitive male came to say "howdy" as

he peered into my window on the "tundra buggy" I was riding in. This photograph was taken

from less than 3 feet away using a 28mm wide angle lens.
