No. 198 Mountain Lion Kitten
This photograph was taken the first time I ever tried my hand (or rather camera) at photographing
mountain lions. This little kitten, along with its mother and sibling were on a wildlife preserve in northern
Montana. The previous day, the first snow of autumn fell on the landscape adding to the atmosphere of
this and the many other shots I got that day. This kitten, about 2 months old. was lying on top of a huge
boulder at the base of which was a small denning area.
